There are innumerable chance occurrences within the flow of world events that could have changed the course of history. Within our own lives we often reflect upon our past actions and wonder “what if” things had turned out differently. But if we believe that God is in control, does that mean all things were meant to happen the way they did? Even the bad things?
As children, school was a necessary evil that seemed as though it would never end. As adults, we begin to appreciate the lessons that prepare us to survive the challenges of the world we live in.
Does God care about what we eat? Very specific instructions were given to Israel concerning which animals should and shouldn’t be eaten and throughout the centuries, God’s people have distinguished themselves by the food they consume. But do these rules reveal something deeper and more meaningful than the importance of physical nourishment?
