Life is hard. And the higher your standards, the harder it’s going to get. Facing the hard truths of reality require an inner strength that doesn’t just happen by chance. We must face the challenges of existence with a focused determination to overcome any obstacle that gets in our way. And sometimes…we need help from others.
Though God has big plans, He works through small people. People who find salvation achieve this through personal choices made in specific circumstances. God works through individuals, showing no favoritism, holding everyone accountable for their own behavior. But once started, He promises to never give up on them.
Jesus healed all manner of people and ailments. But the common factor in these miracles was belief by the one being healed. Why aren’t more people getting healed today? Is it because fewer people actually believe that God will heal them? When we focus on unimportant things, we move farther away from the life we desire to live.
Families foster the closest relationships many will experience in their lives. But siblings often fight with each other, and if these conflicts are not resolved, a rivalry may develop. Usually this is just harmless competition, but sometimes it can lead to bitterness and jealousy. Even spiritual families are vulnerable to this childish behavior.
As children, school was a necessary evil that seemed as though it would never end. As adults, we begin to appreciate the lessons that prepare us to survive the challenges of the world we live in.
